High School Bible Study

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age"

High School Bible Study

Once our students complete middle school, they must choose a career path and enroll in a “colegio” specific to their career choice. For most students, this means traveling 30 minutes away to the nearby city of Coatepeque by bus. There is only one Christian school option, and they only specialize in medicine, so most of our students are no longer receiving Bible classes.

For this reason, we have decided to provide them with a once a week Bible study, where they will not only study the Bible but also receive personalized discipleship in a small group setting. We have one employee, Maya, who has been leading our teen girl’s bible study for the past 4 years. This year Meliss was able to participate as well. We use BSF materials - Bible Study Fellowship - which assigns 4 days a week of in depth homework. When we meet together, we share our responses to the guided questions, and answer any questions that come up.

Next year we will have our first group of high school aged boys, and Shane will begin to lead their weekly Bible study as well.
